FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is an EPC contract and when is it the right model?
An engineering, procurement, and construction contract places design, sourcing, and build responsibility under a single contractor. It suits projects where the owner wants fixed-price certainty and single-point accountability. We advise on whether an EPC contract, EPCM model, or hybrid structure is the right fit for your project based on risk, scale, and delivery requirements.
How do you handle mining procurement for remote projects?
We build procurement strategy around the realities of the site. Long lead items are identified early, supply chain constraints are mapped, and logistics to site are factored into the programme. Mining procurement in remote environments cannot be run the same way as a metropolitan project. We plan for the conditions, not around them.
When should commercial and contracts be engaged on a project?
As early as possible. The decisions that determine whether a project stays on budget are made during scope definition and contract structuring, not during construction. We embed commercial discipline from the start so procurement strategy, contract terms, and cost baselines are established before commitments are made.
Do you manage contractor claims and variations?
Yes. We assess every claim against the contract, evaluate variations for cost and programme impact, and manage extensions of time with the rigour required to protect your position. Commercial administration is not paperwork. It is budget defence.
Can you review or restructure existing contracts on a project already underway?
Yes. We can audit existing engineering, procurement, and construction contracts, identify commercial risk, and restructure where necessary. Whether the issue is cost exposure, unclear scope boundaries, or contractor performance, we assess the position and act on it.
